Privacy Policy

Your personal information and what we do with it.  

1. Why do you collect my information? 

Gloji Hampshire is provided by Thrive Tribe. We collect and process your information so that you can access our Adult Weight Management programmes. The aim of our Adult Weight Management programmes is to empower lifestyle changes, including a 5% loss of body weight over 12 weeks.  

2. Who do you get my data from? 

We get your information from your self-registration directly onto our website. We also receive referrals via healthcare professionals, including Primary Care and Pharmacies.  

3. How does data protection law allow you to use my data? 

The personal data we use for you includes Name, Address, Email Address, Date of Birth, Gender, Phone number and Occupation. We also collect special category data including Height, Weight, Ethnicity, Physical and Mental Health conditions, Disabilities, Sexual Orientation, Pregnant, Breastfeeding, Religion and First Language spoken.  

If you have referred yourself into our service, we use your data on the basis that you have initially given us consent to do so, and from there that we are providing you with a healthcare service, which by itself gives us a basis for using your data. If you have been referred by a healthcare professional, we work on the understanding that they have discussed the initial referral with you and your agreement with it being made, and once it is received by us similarly, that we are providing you with a healthcare service.  

We will ask for your consent before marketing or communicating to you regarding our programmes or similar initiatives.  

4. Do you share my information with anyone?   

To enable Gloji Hampshire to deliver our services, we may share your personal data with internal or external third parties including our referring partners (such as Slimming World) for the purposes of carrying out the services that we have contracted with them to provide us. This will always be in accordance with Gloji’s terms and conditions and subject to strict data privacy terms. 

We do not allow any third-party service provider to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for the specified purposes as provided with our instructions.     

Our programme contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. Such websites operate their own privacy notices which are in no way associated with Gloji Hampshire. We will not share your personal data with any third-party website you choose to visit because of using Gloji Hampshire. We advise that you check any third-party privacy policy before you submit any personal data as these will vary from this privacy notice. 

We may share personally identifiable information (listed in point 3) with trusted partners in order to provide you with relevant advertising, offers or services. This includes but is not limited to Local Authorities, limited companies, and health organisations. 

5. Does any of my information get sent outside of the UK? 

YES. If using Gloji Gym or participating in community sports as part of our physical actitvity programmes we use Memberstack and Mailchimp platforms which store your personal information in the United States. 6. How long do you keep my information? 

We record, manage and retain your information in accordance with the NHS Records Management Code of Practice 2021.   

7. What about my rights under Data Protection law, how can I activate them? 

Under Data Protection law you have the right to:   

  • Be informed how your data is used (which is what this leaflet is doing).  
  • Access to your information. 
  • Rectification of errors. 
  • Erasure (in certain circumstances). 
  • Restriction of processing (in certain circumstances) 
  • Objection to processing. 
  • Data Portability. 
  • Understand whether profiling or automated decision-making is being used (see Section 9).

8. Do you use any automated decision-making or profiling on my information?   

We use your data to calculate Body Mass Index. We will also communicate specialist recommended content based on the information you provide us.  

9. What do I do if I am concerned about how you are using my information? 

In the first instance we would be grateful for the opportunity to respond to your concerns ourselves and hopefully sort out any issues for you. To help with this, please write to our Data Asset Owner jack@gloji.co.uk. 

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of our support, you may take your complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office, which regulates Data Protection.
